Duende Basic Cajon
This is a cajón with a very good response in both treble and bass. Balanced sounds are its main feature. This cajón is ideal for beginners in the world of the cajón. The cajón Basic is made with okumen for the body and a pine front plate. It has two strings in a “V” with its tension system ST-1.
The great advantage of this cajón is its balance between treble and bass. Not very sharp and aggressive nor too low and powerful. The “Kick”, like the bass, is defined and dry while the snare system is still present without being too pronounced.
It is one of the first cajóns we launched when we started the Duende brand and we have not changed anything since then. At that time the cajón was almost unknown to most musicians. It had not yet undergone the development achieved today, so we can feel on this model the essence of the original sound of wood typical of Peruvian cajóns and the new adaptations to the world of flamenco. It is the cajón with all the “basics”. This cajón is one of the first hybrids between the Peruvian cajón and the Spanish cajón.
