Where to get music files depends on the generation of your PianoDisc system (modern app-based vs. older legacy units):

1. Official Digital Music (Modern Systems: iQ, Prodigy, Bluetooth)

If your system uses a smartphone, iPad, or wireless control unit:

  • PianoDisc Music Store: Official albums and single tracks specifically engineered for PianoDisc can be purchased directly from the PianoDisc Official Store or within the PianoDisc iQ Player app.

  • Free Built-in Library: The PianoDisc iQ Player app includes a library of 600+ free complimentary songs. In the app, go to Settings $\rightarrow$ Download Complementary Music Library to sync them.

  • PianoDisc Radio: Streaming channels built directly into the PianoDisc app (requires an active internet connection).

2. Standard MIDI Files (Free & 3rd-Party)

Modern PianoDisc apps (and USB/SD control boxes) can play standard .MID / .MIDI files directly:

  • Free Public MIDI Archives: You can download free piano MIDI files from sites like MuseScore, Classical Archives, or Yamaha MusicSoft (piano-solo files work best).

  • 3rd-Party Player Piano Vendors: Specialty sites like Player Piano Premier and Web Only Piano sell compatible piano files formatted for player systems.

  • How to Load MIDI Files: Connect your iOS/Android device to your computer and transfer the .mid files into the PianoDisc iQ app folder via iTunes/Finder File Sharing.

3. Physical Media (Legacy Systems: Floppy Disk / CD / SD Card)

If you have an older system (such as the PDS-128, PDS-228, or PianoCD):

  • Secondary Markets (eBay / Reverb): Look for original PianoDisc 3.5″ Floppy Disks or PianoDisc CDs on eBay or Reverb.

  • Converting Floppies to Digital: If your disk drive no longer works, floppy disks can be converted into digital MIDI files using a PC USB floppy drive and free extraction software like Floppy2MIDI or GNMIDI.
